dreaded deeds of kindness

You know what I'm talkig about, the ones you don't want to get the phone call for but when you do youi know you're going to say YES!

We kinda have a unique situation here, and my husband has a daughter outside our marraige, which we raise. We have always tried to get along for our daughters sake and make life easier on everybody. She is a beautiful wonderful daughter, no one could ask for better. I have been blessed, even out of a bad situation.

Any way the DREADED DEED, the big phone call right before this holiday weekend, HER MOTHER IS MOVING TO FLORIDA*YEAH* but, she needs help loading a FEW items on the truck.

Well when we get there about 2 in the afternoon, help her and hubby load up, the other help that was helping them take it to storage didn't show. So of course, we volunteer. We had a 28 ft truck full, she rented a 5FT WIDE 10 FT LONG 12 FT HIGH SPACE! Have you ever tried to fit a small house in that little a space, WELL IT CAN"T BE DONE. At the end of this trip we had bent the door after cramming most of it in thier, her hubby came out with a bloody hand because he got cut by the door. I went flying like superman in the air over a landing and busted up my knees pretty good. We didn't get home till 11;30 that night.
Thats what we get for being nice guys, but no harm no fowl, it's done and she is well on her way.
But we hope through times like this that we show all our children to love and help your neighbors. We still live by the golden rule here and it hasn't hurt us yet, but still if she moves back Ithink I"LL BE OUT OF TOWN!!

hope you all had a great and safe holiday weekend
